Jonathan Schnier DVM, Diplomate

Dr. Schnier
is originally from
Toronto, Ontario. Dr. Schnier received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
degree from the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, Ontario, in 2004.
He then completed a rotating small animal internship at Southern Arizona
Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center in Tucson, Arizona. Dr.
Schnier has recently completed a small animal internal medicine
residency at the Atlantic Veterinary College in Charlottetown, Prince
Edward Island. He passed the American College of Veterinary Internal
Medicine (ACVIM) Small Animal Internal Medicine Specialty examination in
June 2008.
Dr. Schnier is currently working on completing
an MSc degree with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University
of Prince Edward Island. His research is focused on cardiovascular
changes associated with excess weight and weight loss in dogs. Dr.
Schnier is happy to be a part of the CCVS team. His interests include
SCUBA diving, skydiving, kayaking, and alpine skiing.
