James Ross, Jr.  DVM,  PhD, Diplomate ACVIM, Diplomate ACVECC

Dr. Ross  joined CCVS in January of 2006 as  Director of Emergency and Critical Care Services. He is also a board certified  Cardiologist and is currently accepting new patients.   Previous to CCVS, Dr. Ross spent 25 years at Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine as:

• Chair of the Department of Medicine 1986-1993
• Chair of Clinical Sciences 1997-1998
• Acting Hospital Director 1998-1999
• Distinguished Professor 1998-2005

Prior to Tufts, Dr. Ross spent 16 years in cardiovascular research and clinical veterinary cardiology at:

• Ohio State University 1965-1967
• Baylor College of Medicine 1967-1974
• The Medical College of Ohio 1974-1980
