The Benefits of Laser Surgery

 

  • Use of a surgical laser decreases the amount of blood lost during surgery. Since the laser coagulates blood as it cuts you pet will bleed less from the skin incision and any other incisions. This is especially important for areas with a lot of blood supply.

 

  • Laser surgery is less painful. Surgical lasers seal nerve endings as they cut so that there is decreased sensation to the surgical site. This help you pet be more comfortable when recovering from surgery.

 

  • There is less swelling of the incision site after laser surgery than after traditional surgery which means that your pet will be more comfortable throughout recovery.
