Our Doctors


Dr. Kathleen Fox, DVM
Veterinarian

Dr. Kathleen Fox was born and raised in Quebec City. She received her doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University of Montreal in 1995. She also has a bachelor’s degree in physical activity and a minor in psychology. After graduation, she pursued post-graduate studies and did a 13-month internship at VCA South Shore Animal Hospital.

Dr. Fox went into private practice for one year prior to joining Dedham Veterinary Associates in September 1997, and joined Buzzards Bay Veterinary Associates in April 2007.

Haley Knowlton, DVM
Veterinarian

Dr. Knowlton is originally from Gloucester, MA where she lived until the age of 10. Her family then moved overseas living in Switzerland, The Netherlands and France where she attended international schools. Having spent a lot of time in the Bahamas, Dr. Knowlton knew she wanted to complete her Undergraduate and Graduate studies somewhere tropical. She graduated from St. George's University in 2010, which is located on the beautiful spice island of Grenada. She then continued on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2014 after completing her final year of clinical training at Louisiana State University. After graduating, Dr. Knowlton worked at a mixed-animal private practice on the island of Martha's Vinyard prior to joining Buzzards Bay Veterinary Associates in May, 2015.

Dr. Knowlton recently moved to Mashpee with her husband and their daughter. They have a cat, Lily, and a dog, Mabelle, both of which were found as strays in Grenada when they were only a few weeks old. In her spare time Dr. Knowlton enjoys fishing, diving, snorkeling, gardening and spending time with her family

Elaine Gilleece, DVM
Veterinarian

Dr. Gilleece was born and raised in the Roslindale/West Roxbury area of Boston. She completed her undergraduate studies at Simmons College in Boston with a degree in Biology. After graduation she worked as a Microbiology technician in research at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. The research focused on antimicrobial resistance in bacteria and hospital acquired infections. She was a coauthor on numerous research papers. She then went to Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine to obtain her doctor of veterinary medicine degree.

Dr. Gilleece comes to Dedham Veterinary Associates after practicing as an associate veterinarian at two other busy small animal practices in Natick and then in Dedham.

Dr. Gilleece lives in Dedham with her husband. Her pets include a Princess, a Chihuahua mix adopted from the ARL in Dedham and Annie, a cat who was a former stray. When not working at the clinic she enjoys gardening, reading, working out at the gym, cross country skiing and spending time at the Cape and in Maine. She also does volunteer work with the ARL Trap, Neuter, Release Program.

Geri
Hospital Manager/Veterinary Technician

Geri is a veterinary technician who joined us with four years of previous experience in the animal field. She is dedicated to helping animals and their owners providing them with the best care and service possible. Geri is a graduate from the University of Massachusetts, Boston with a BA in Environmental Science. In her free time, Geri loves to cook, garden, and spend time with her three children, dog Oscar and two cats Milo and Lucky.

Jocelyn
Hospital Supervisor

Jocelyn joined our team as a Technician Assistant in 2012 after working for more than four years in the animal field. Jocelyn was born and raised in Wareham, and still lives there with her husband and dogs. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, yoga, playing music and spending time with family. She is thrilled to have a job that enables her to continue her passion for animals.

Kellie
CVT

Kellie is a Certified Veterinary Technician who joined our team in April 2015. She graduated from Mt. Ida College with an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology in 2014 while working at a veterinary practice in Dartmouth for the past three years. She has an Akita named Drift, A Shiba Inu named Nala and 5 cats (Mrs. Norris, Stu, Hagrid, Chance and Mrtyle). Her hobbies include freshwater fishing, walking through the woods, breeding ball pythons and tending to her salt water aquarium.

Micaela
Client Care Associate

Micaela joins our team with 2 years of client care associate experience. She is a longtime resident of Wareham. In her spare time she loves spending it with her family, friends and dog Ollie.
